Ulex Gold is produced by the first distillery to have legally made absinthes with a high thujone level, after Prohibition. All the Ulex absinthes now contain the highest level of thujone allowable.
Ulex is a family company created in 1795.
In 2001, it was the first in Germany to produce absinthes from old family recipes. Today, the production is still totally manual, from bottle-filling to label-sticking.
