The absinthe St. Antoine is based on a French recipe ; it is certainly the best Czech absinthe !
Every product used for its production is natural and it is not sweetened.
Its coloration comes only from plants, mainly petit wormwood, hyssop and Melissa.
That is the proof that there are some good absinthes in the Czech Republic !
- The absinthe
St. Antoine owes its name to its region of origin. Indeed, it is the translation of the name of a town near the place where it is produced.
- This is the second version of the absinthe
St. Antoine. The third version is expected end of 2009. It will take notice of all the different critics that have been made on the earlier versions.
The company was founded by Marcela and Josef Zufanek, together with their sons Martin, Josef and Jan. The company operates in a small district named Borsice u Blatnice in the region of Zlin since the year 2000.
Although the family's main activity is the processing of fruit and honey into the form of quality spirits and liqueurs, Martin decided to start producing absinthe in 2008 and created one worthy of its nomination : the
St. Antoine absinthe.
During that same year, Martin developed a second version helped by many absinthe lovers and their advice. The latter came out in August 2008 and is a real improvement !
- At first; savour your
St. Antoine with half a piece of sugar. Then, add more or less according to your taste.
