This ornemental fountain is quite similar to the ones in the years 1900 and is simply beautiful.

It is different to all the other fountains because its reservoir is bigger than usual. Made with mouth blown glass, the latter has a „flattened“ shape. It is decorated with 8 eight-branched stars to which it owes its name. The taps of this fountain are also unusual, not as common as the trefoil shaped taps.

A pretty fountain that stands out among others and reminds us of the Belle Epoque !
- Make sure you rinse your fountain before you first use it, in order to get rid of any residue.

- You can fill your fountain with ice cubes in order to obtain very cold water.

- Do not empty your fountain straight after having used it, the difference in temperature could damage it; wait until the next day.
- Contrarily to what one might think, absinthe fountains arrived very late. They presumably arrived in 1886, when the maison Cusenier wished to give absinthe a "hygenic" image.

- Historical fountains usualy have 4 taps. Their lids are decorated with a coq gaulois, an acorn or a pine cone. All these symbols were installed in order to stop scaring away ladies.
