Fresh, La Muse Verte is well-balanced. It suggests an agreeable bitterness and a lemony taste.
It is obtained by maceration of hyssop, Melissa (that gives it its lemony notes), thyme, sage and green anise essences.
La Muse Verte absinthe has the particularity of being produced with fresh absinthe leaves rather than the dry ones usually used.
A surprising absinthe full of freshness!
Artez was founded in Artez d’Armagnac (France, 40) in 1995 by Jean-Philippe Brunello and Michel Budin. Its head office is located in Paris.
At first, Artez was a spirits merchant dealing more particularly in Bas-Armagnac; its production and refining exclusively from its own cellars.
In February 2002, a meeting with the producer of absinthe Jean-Michel Berneau, led to a friendship, a common philosophy, values and a passion, and finally the purchase of his business in April of the same year.
That is how they came to produce today Bas-Armagnac, two pastis and La Muse Verte absinthe.
